Education is an instrument of human development. It brings light to man and thus elevates the quality of human society. Since ancient times, education has been given an exalted position in society. Keeping in view the long cherished demand of people, Seth Makhan Lal Ji, Founder President along with other distinguished persons of the area established a society in the name of Rashtriya Vidya Samiti(Regd.). By the rigorous efforts of the society Radha Krishan Sanatan Dharam College was established in 1954 to cater to the needs of higher

education in this area which has become a commercial hub at that time. Earlier it was started as an intermediate college but as times passes it became a major centre of higher education with various post and under graduate level degree courses of traditional, cocational and professional education to its credit. In due course, various other institutions like R.K.S.D.(Evening Session) College, R.K.S.D. Sen. Sec. School, R.K.S.D. College of Pharmacy became the members of R.K.S.D. family.

In this very chain of R.K.S.D. Group of Educational Institutions, R.K.S.D. College of Education was established in the year 2006 with an initial intake of 100 students to provide qualitative teacher education. Now it is entering into the fifth session of its existence with having 200 students with the vision of providing quality teachers to the society who are well versed to face the challenges posed by the problems of modern era while maintaining the long traditions of Indian culture and values at its core.

It has made a name of its own in the area by showing excellent results in academic, cultural and sports activities. The College is working on the self financing basis as per the norms and guidelines of the N.C.T.E., State Government and the affiliating University i.e. Kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra. The University  and the Govt. of Haryana, carry out the inspection every year to ascertain and evaluate the physical & human resources and functioning of the college as per prescribed norms.
